Coral blazes beneath midnight sun
as the moon circles the earth in a golden band.

A teardrop glistens in the starlit night
while a dried-up dream drops dead from her hand.

Inside the mind of dark dawn winds that blow,
a memory plants seeds in shifting sand.

When sunlight sheds her evening patchwork quilt,
the morning greets her; horizons expand.

Waves beat mercilessly beneath angry skies.
The Guardian of the Sea understands.
