the pilgrimage to Mexico a fetched
instrument to unlock your desire.
I kept sacrificing. I gave periodic
offerings. I managed to hoodoo myself
below the belt on your pillow my blood
my hair in grounds of coffee. I've
always been guilty of taking things

Although I wasn't familiar with Hoodoo, this poem was intriguing enough that I did a Google search about it. There is so much texture in the poem I realized after doing that. Very well done!
