let's sail away to hear the singing fish
and find the island of the dancing trees
to raise our children far from the disease
of frenzied growth, of mad demand and wish
where even the blue moon will never freeze.

let's build a cabin on the blue-eyed lake
and greet the laughing river's leaping trout,
retrieve a sense of what it's all about,
find back our dignity and block the brake,
slow down to normal ere the moon is out.

whire recreating history our way
we'll tan to copper on the drowsy beach
and, sitting on our haunches, watch the day
change colour as the sunlight fades away
and down the sea the moon's just out of reach.
