MORE DESPERATE THAN DRUNK

It's typical mid-February today,
The sun comes out, then again he hides,
The clouds travel south, it's ok,
No Big South Weather and its swelling tides.

You may sleep at ease, I will not visit,
I have some other business to attend,
Not to get rid of pain but to ease it,
Sleep sweet my lovely, this is not the end.

I'll take a lonely stroll hooked in day-dreaming,
As a drug-major honoring my rank,
I will admire some damsels' early swimming,
And I'll return more desperate than drunk.
