It is lonely in my closet,

beating heart, I'm all alone.

I sit and wait.

Seconds pass, minutes and years

the world moves and I'm still here,

caressing what could have been

what should have and might have been.

Lessons learned, efforts failed

peaple I loved picked up and bailed.

Can't anyone hear me, I'm locked in my closet

is anyone there?

deep sigh, I am alone here...

in my closet.
