He stands like no other
Like he is one with the world
In the sun and the sand
My Egyptian Warrior Love

He stands tall and dark,
His hair long and black,
Tattoos of an ancient language,
on his face,

His eyes are dark and weary,
For he has seen war and death,
for too long,

His face stone set in showing,
no fear,

I ride up to him,
on barebacked horse,

I call to him,
I call his name,
And he looks back to me.

He smiles for it has been,
too long since we have seen,
each other last,

I quickly dismount the horse,
to see him running up to me,

I see his father in his face,
For I was once his father's greatest friend,

I run towards him as he runs towards me,
When we reach each other,
He takes me in his arms,
Spinning us around like there is no other,
person around.

When he sets my feet to the sand,
He whispers in my ear,
"I had began to wonder when I would feel you near,"

He walks me up to the oasis where he stood,
We stand there on the hill, looking down,
Watching the horses graze and drink,

Sunset fast approached us,
And again my warrior love whispered to my ear,
"I want you to stay, forever by my side."

Of course, I accept his offer,
And seal it with a kiss.

I look back over the oasis once again,
Before challenging him to a race,
We race back to his tent,
And of course I beat him,

I spend the night with my warrior love,
And wake at sunshine's first light,
Before he wakes, I whisper to his ear,

"I love you, Tristien Bay, my Egyptian Warrior Love.
