My conception was one strained event;
Split cells and energy.
A mass of moods and bodily event;
Rooted in biology.

My beginning was a painful event;
But it eased so readily.
Everything beyond was descent and ascent;
Eased just momentarily.

My growth was mixture of life and death;
And changes in consistency.
My consciousness expanding with each weak breath;
And painful for me to see.

My love was a euphoric nightmare bliss;
I lost my mind so beautifully.
I would have died for each long lost kiss;
Instead I'm living deep risk-free.

And now that slow, heavy end arrives;
I look back on everything.
I watch, as for me, Death quickly dives;
I tell myself,
I regret nothing.

Nice take on the life cycle...

...it's good to see you writing still. I'm looking forward to Chap 2 of "The Quiet Friend"
