My Higher Power

MY HIGHER POWER




I’ve found a higher power
In which to call,
He picks me up
Whenever I fall.

He’s always there
In my time of need,
Helping me to fight
My addictive greed.

I can call on him
In the dead of night,
Knowing he’ll help me
To win this fight.

Whenever I begin
To feel unsure,
He helps me find
A sober cure.

He gives me the strength
That I never had,
For I’m never alone
When feeling sad.

He shares my burden
When it becomes to much,
He’s always with me
He’s always in touch.

For all I do is ask
For his helping hands,
And whatever the problem
He always understands.

Yes, I’ve found a higher power
That is so much stronger than me,
And he has given me the gift
Of true sobriety…BWL
