On this moonless night, the sea and the sky
become a cover of midnight black.
Ribbons of white capped waves gave the only hint
that the shore line is still close.

Only a unique brilliant star, hang in the heavens,
distinguishing the sea from the sky,
providing a soft luminous glow.

Yet I am enshrouded in stillness of the night,
and tempted to become a part of the darkness,
as the lone evening star flickers at me.

The waves of the sea seduce me, almost soliciting me,
to become one with its vast greatness.

As I observe the heavens I see your heart
within the brilliance of the twinkling star,
offering me strength and courage,
as strong as any of the seas powerful waves.

As a lighthouse shining beacon warns the sailors of danger,
you are my lustrous beacon within the darkest night.

A part of me will always lust for the sea,
But my darling , my love, Your heart will always
reside within my soul.

lovely

I thought it was prose in poetry form but I loved it.

The message touches me. I'd say edit and condense, but

I don't know if it would keep the soft feeling it has now.
