I am broken,
the light of dawn surrounds me,
washing me with gold.
I know what it is,
To be withdrawn, cut away.
Oh, shine you bright star!
Make me whole, sane once more.

My love is a wild spirit,
and my heart is a caged beast.

You touched me like a ghost,
and filled me with a waking dream.
So long ago it was, my lust,
burning like a forge, smelt you away.
No chance, no redemption for us,
you said to me with eyes bright,
With hateful tears.

My love is a wild spirit,
and my heart is a caged beast.

It is all too much, too little,
my forlorn thoughts are too late.
When each to the other are,
as a falcon broken to the fist, one.
And free to explore, as human,
one reacts to push the other away,
different, strange, beautiful, hate.

My love is a wild spirit,
and my heart is a caged beast.

The sun, earth’s star,
blazing in the heavens.
My mistake, my faults and fears,
burn in misery with it.
It shines,
so persistent.
A mockery.
