She has gone
And I never knew her;
Just a name
At the end of a page.
No mourning
At news of her passing,
No regrets
For there’s nothing unsaid.
Her value
Was more of a symbol -
A vague link
To a world I don’t know
A memoire
That belongs to another;
And a past
That was left far behind.
