I wanted to have "The Island" out by at the very latest the first of Feb. however its taking a great deal of time, for its not going to be a usual sex story. I shall have it out by spring summer at the very latest.
This poem came to me just a short while ago when I found out that my current last name "Martinez" was not my family name... However, the real name of my family was once Barrera. Wondering as to weather or not I wished to change to my ancestrial name.

Moons a twilight hidden in glow,
that night light time that came and took
my world, behold.
That such new truth is here,
such truth so new it much be told.
"What's in a name" she said.
"By any other name."

The name is what we crave.
The name is what we cherish.
The name is who we are.
What's in the name is just my fate.
The fate of who I am,
and whom I'll be forever.
It is my name,
so whom will wear it by any other spoil
as I.
The name is my crest.

My father produced not one offspring
but two.
Both alike in gender sex,
The one could go his life
and days with said name upon his shoulders
as proud as the day he knew no difference.

I myself could rebuild,
rebuild the destruction of cherished and
forgotten name.
To once again as time has offered,
let the sun shine through that family way.
Not forget who I am,
or who I'll be today.
The future of my name,...
is today.

What title will have me,
and which will I have?
When names are given out,
what thought will pass from fate
in out?

I'll choose new light,
and let new names be born,
since long forgotten.
A brother can carry on with said name.
I'll walk the earth with new title.
And live as the man I crave to be;
Barrera!
