You were everything I wanted,
But soon I found everything changing,
So many things that I was oblivious to,
Things you said and later denied.

How can I tell you?
About all the little things,
The things that are so inconceivable,
Things I still don’t understand.

I thought you were too good to be true,
I can’t believe it took so long for me to see the truth,
I never realised that you were,
Breaking my heart,
Little bit by little bit,
Until one day my world shattered.

And I’m sorry to say,
That I still find it hard,
To breathe without you,
I’m sorry there is no us.

I miss the bits of me,
That you stole,
The things I can’t get back,
I watch shadows play on the wall,
As I remember it all.

Everyone said you were my better half,
And maybe they were right,
Because I don’t like,
The person I’ve become without you.
