I had two lovers today,
The Wind and the Sun,
So different, and yet
Complimenting each other so well.
I cannot tell which one I love the best.

The penetrating fierceness of Sun
Suffusing every part of me.
Almost too much to stand.
A brazen seduction, soaking
my every nerve
incessantly focused.
leaving me no quarter.

Soft caressing fingers play over me
As the Winds dispel the touch of the Other
Teasing me to life again.
Almost touching but never touched.
A will o' the wisp lover, softly
working through my defences
Until I open to him.

I had two lovers today,
The Wind and the Sun,
So different, and yet
Complimenting each other so well.
I cannot tell which one I love the best.
