I see you standing there
hesitantly trying to talk to me.
I hear what you've been saying
but the words don't mesh
with the emotion in your eyes.
I wonder which are showing me the naked truth of you?

I watch your mouth
and I want to trace the lips with my fingers
I've kissed so passionately.
I wonder as the honesty of this crosses my face
if you ever saw the naked truth of me?

you turn to walk away;
as the space between us grows visable...
I see that we were only naked
but we were never truthful.
