Glistening waters flirt with eyes glare,
While passersby hesitate and stare.

How gentle nature holds our thoughts,
Her lessons of respect, balance well taught.

Within her sight we breathe and evolve,
All the while our lives around her revolve.

Magnificent is the storm, unforgiving and strong,
Her breezes, rains and sunshine conjure a melodic song.

Offering to us whatever we seek,
Yet returns made seem scarce and bleak.

Embraced are we, who follow her lead,
Growing and flourishing from her tiny seed.
