Never is something which I hate,
An idea to all it relates.
Never is a concept, affecting all in line.
Never is forever,
And that's a very long time.
Never is harsh, cold and cruel,
Defiant, poignant, errant and true.
What once was,
Not ever again.
Gone like yesterday,
And the day before then.
I lost my mother to Never,
Slipped into time.
Memories fading quickly,
A blurring of the lines.
Never;
To hold-
To touch-
See, taste or smell.
Never to laugh with,
Cry or yell.
Never to be mad,
Or love so true.
Never to hug or
Be rude.
Never is deep,
A concept unglued.
Deep as in size, thought or feet.
Deep as a grave,
Six feet deep.
As deep as a dream,
When fast asleep.
As deep as the ocean,
Dark and steep.
As deep as eternity,
Stretched far and wide
Never is forever,
Without you,
At my side.
