Inside there’s no completeness
He walks alone, unpaid, accruing
His inner-strength and eternal weakness
Are lonely

Blazing eyes defy the darkness
Reflecting flames of his undoing
Convinced the burning hopes mark his uniqueness,
Symmetry

Yes today’s not yesterday,
But he lives it anyway
Holding onto smoke that burns his hands
The temple in a music box,
Pastor vaudevillian locks
Preaches to the ever-shifting sand

Inside the child is happy
He has the snow...
Unseen the child is happy
He just don’t show,
He cannot go...

His eyes inside
Seeing the wiser world beyond this man
He cannot be denied
Even by this gypsy caravan
Never alone,
The child revives
Never outgrown,
By other lives
Communion

One through two can get to Heaven
The child’s beyond the Armageddon
One through two can get to Heaven
Let the child become your amen
