                with every new year
                i get older
and when the year gets older
                i still get older
                so what's the point?

the final line

had a cynical, or despairing lilt for me as a reader, a look at the inevitable, a shrug of the shoulders and asking the question what's the point?

Thank you g-m for your reading (makes me feel like writing another poem).

Pelegrino, think about the meaning of the word "point" in the given context (and don't me "sir, I know it" :-). Triviality is alien to my poem.

I liked how the last line appears to be a cynical statement in the form of a question for some and for others one that invites a positive response. It made me think how we often go looking for data that support our prior assumptions.
