No need to read between my lines
My heart is shown for all to see
Released with love from my confines
You came, you saw, you set me free

I always thought that my desires,
Would remain unsatisfied,
That my dreams held passion’s fires
Doused by the lonely tears I cried

But my god woman, when you came
You took my body, mind and soul
You grabbed this spark and made a flame
You made my head and heart whole

When I’m near you, the sun shines
When we’re apart, the rain falls
But the thoughts of you leave me blind
To my discomforts, when I hear you call

My heart-strings pull
And my body aches,
I stumble and fall
As I see your face
All my senses dull
Left in your wake
My love is full
You’ve raised the stakes

Since you came,
My life is unreal
Nothing’s the same
I’m trying to deal
With this love’s game,
I’m starting to feel
That you took your aim
And my fate was sealed
