No safe place
To lay my head.
No house
To call home.
No one to trust
Or believe in.

Years of pain
With no safe place.
Cause distrust,
Lose of belief.
In so many others
And in one own self.

No safe place
To let down your guard.
Feel safe to sleep
And not wake in an hour.
No safe place
Not even behind the lids of your eyes.
