It shouldn’t surprise, but it did.
You let me down once again.
It shouldn’t surprise me, but it does.
Once again I’m left unloved.
It shouldn’t surprise me, but it has.
Another night passes, where I am sad.
It shouldn’t surprise me, but here I am,
Waiting for words never to be said.
It shouldn’t surprise me and I must accept,
that it’s not in the cards for my happiness yet.
