and the peasant bread before you.

Or helpless to boot, or helpless from foor to head. I wrote this six years ago for a novel. -wby

i understand the barb here,

but what on earth does 'helpless to head' mean?

seems odd that where the rest is quite clear in a fairly prosaic manner, you then choose to toss in that phrase to befuddle us noisome old women
