babe...
do you remember
the song we called ours
"nothing else matters"
every time we heard it
you'd grab on to me
squeezing so tight for
such a lil' gal..

"nothing else matters"
we knew this...once upon a time
before life came into our way
God..the memories...so sweet...
you so thin so ripe so...pleasing
me...same ol me...tall lean brazin loud fearing nothing......

we had it all.....we had each other
and swore to our death each other
in the bedroom...so new yet we were used
all that had come before...gone forgood...
I love you babe..as I did then
as I will long after your gone
for a period in time we were hot,,,
we were on fire...
your hair long and black...
your ass tiny and begging...
your eyes blue and pleading
god yes...I will always love you

do you remember?
when nothing else mattered...but each other
when the hours spent in bed...touching each other
turned into years
I never felt the way I did then...with any woman
your mind was open
we were in tune....
all of lifes games meant nothing...
not jack shit
to us....
Laureen my love...you were at those days...your best.....you made me into a man...just to be man enough for you...
the song...
"nothing else matters"
it still plays...
and I hear it with a tear in my eye
remembering what "we" once was
and are nolonger.

Angel of my dreams...
princess of my memories...
I'll love you for ever...
as Frost once wrote...Nothing golden can stay...you and I...
we're proof. I ache for us,
for what we were
for what we could have been...
I love you Laureen...
no matter what the future holds for us
Nothing else matters.

Meandering muses

Ramblings and memory rumblings,

something most have had.

You can see the mind jump and thoughts,

almost stream of consciousness.

Worth reading.

edit:

"as I will long after your gone" - "your" should be "you're"

"nolonger" is two words

"as Frost once wrote...Nothing golden can stay" - The correct quotation is "Nothing gold can stay"
