Into a fire,
A dream of desire,
of passion and hatred and blood.

Ignite upon me a radiant gleam,
Bright and unreal,
And shadows which wither.

Take into my hands,
A potion of wonder,
Of life and love and joy.

Cast an eye upon truth,
However,
And see it is not simply I who lies.

Into a world of fire and passion,
Into a painful memory!

Into great things,
When nothing is loving,
No one is singing,
No one is dancing.

Darkness surrounds and misery protrudes,
The depths of my mind are no longer new,
Give me a hope,
For my breath is transparent,
And love is nothing if not resplendent.

Into my world,
Of power and pain,
Of love and betrayal,
Of one single flame.
