I am an oasis
Alone amidst too much sand
I know I have something
Oblivious to those who just see me
They rush to me
They fill their hands
Trying to swallow, they choke
Spitting and sputtering
Sand falling from their hands and face
And still I wait for that one person who will see the sand and loves it for it’s unique texture
Sand morphs to water
They take it in
Quenching their souls deepest thirst
Making a single paradise surrounded by an ocean of coarse unrelenting, sand
