A boy and his girl, cruising at dusk
living every last hot summer night
driving off to catch the show,

third date an- ti- ci- pa- tion.

Every stall full of back seats, and
unexplored territory.
Tune the radio dial
to the slasher flick on the giant screen.
Holding close at each startled jump

Popcorn intermission;

Before arms moving, and wandering hands,
hot breath and quieted moans,
heat of the moment betrayed by steamed up windows.

Always a good time late night, at the drive-in.
