Her smooth white hair flows
through his fingers,

her proud Hellenic hooters
now ashes in the wind.

"Old on a Grecian urn"

You could leave out 'her smooth', 'his, 'her proud' and 'now' without losing meaning.

'White hair' conveys the sense of time without the need for 'now.' There you are , a 35% trim - feel free to ignore.
