Time will tell him
what I can't say.
No one ever
learned trust in a day.
Time will turn his fears
into memories,
someday he will come back
and laugh a little with me.
There's hope on my end
even as the sun goes down,
gratitude has risen,
smiles still abound.
It was wonderous and wild,
words can't express where I've been,
for care and scare are but one letter off
and I cared, which scared my friend.

~

Delightful play on words; coherent narrative; rhythm felt a bit forced to me.
