My mom died on January 9,2003.. unexpectedly. This poem is for her..

You were always there for us,
your children.
Your Life.
You cared,
shared
dared
no one compared.
You listened
talked with
protected
as best you could.
You understood.
Oh ma'ma...
You gave up,
so we could have.
Juggled,
struggled,
to make ends meet.
You were so sweet,
never beat,
rarely spanked.
Were you ever thanked?
Oh ma'ma...
You were always there.
Loving us.
Equally.
Your still there.
But we can't touch you.
Or feel your touch.
We miss you so,
didn't know
you had to go.
Oh ma'ma...
