Oh how I know you would all love to hurt me with this hateful and cruel label
Lonely I may sometimes be, but I'm damn sure not desperate
Don't and won't settle for any old someone that comes along to ask

Made my choice long ago and I'm happy with it no matter much the rest of you may laugh
All of you will wind up bitter and jaded someday, while I live forever happily ever after
In the arms of the only true love I've ever wanted to give my most precious gift to
Doubt not the futures that have now been foretold here for us all

You-sad and all alone forever more

Me-A wife and a mother at long last

Every single one of my best dreams and your worst nightmares fulfilled

Oh happy day!

2008 Ramona Thompson
