Old Pages

It is time to go back and do something I wanted
It feels like I have to go and turn back the pages
It is my past and it's sad but yet true, it haunted
It has filled my mind, I can see all images.

I kept my doors wide open and so fast you came inside
I liked the way your words swept across, divine that flow
I let my mind to wash in that stream, but had to hide
I felt that I can one day confess and it would not show.

The outcome was unexpected, fast and ferocious
The power your words had, it shook me, and I cracked
The impact just put me down, I cant blame but helpless I was
The feedback just took off and your tender heart wrecked.

Still cant fathom the pain I caused you, serenity
Stays unhealed I know, the pain lingers on, it would always
Say, can someone kill your soul, I dont know, what a pity
Someday, I thought I can tell you all that, hope can go forward.

Life changed you a lot, it took you through the stones and swamps
Like I was riding some luck, but I know, I cant remove your thread
Lake placid, your face now is so straight, can you dump
Lust, love and life, as we pass through, we still hold to it instead.

One last chance, I'm on my knees, would you please
One final leap, I'm clinging on to the edge
One more time you have to ask your mind, your heart beats
One last message from me, no more quits, that's all my pledge.
