On the flight from Toronto
in the seat next to mine
a blonde from the prairies
drinking Friday noon wine,
black boots, black tights
a black leather skirt
black turtle neck
seemed eager to flirt,

Where are you going
I asked with a grin
Saint Paul, Minnesota
to visit a friend,
she said with a chuckle
a friend she used to date
down for the weekend
to take a chance at fate,

She said they were lovers
then friends for awhile
when they both got married
but that wasn't their style,
but they reconnected
on Facebook, no shit
now down for the weekend
to see if it still fit,

But said she was nervous
hadn't seen him in ten years
what if they no longer
turned each other's gears,
I told her she was pretty
had nothing to dread
where I her luck suitor
I'd jump right in bed,

She said I bet you would
she touched me on the arm
drank her airplane wine
no longer on the farm,
we landed a bit later
with each other's card
if I were her friend
I'd spend the weekend hard,

Another flight of fantasy well told (shame about the typos).
