This poem does not necessarily reflect my views regarding the outcome of WWII but rather the USA's handling of the Asian front of that war. Not to say that we were wrong in our attempts to destroy an army and navy that was surely bent on our destruction, but that the use of 2 atomic bombs on an island the size of Japan was really a bit of overkill. I am not suggesting that this is an accepted opinion, nor am I suggesting it should be presented to others as something to think about. It is simply my thoughts on the matter. As such, I hope you enjoy it.

On the blood-slaked shores of Hiroshima,
The silence of the dead screamed thru the night
And echoed in the fiery madness of Hell.
But when the bomb fell at Nagasaki
The gods fled in despair,
And left a timeless void
Of pain,
Lust,
And cruelty.

Excellent poem

While I do not think that the war with Japan could have ended any other way, given the bastardization if Bushido, I understand and sympathize with your thoughts. Your poem is excellent. You should be proud to present it.

Interesting concrete poem

'lust' seems out of place here.
