Once

Once
After a rain
When the Earth's fragrance
Was wet and smelled slippery
I said "I love you."

Her eyes opened
Nostrils flared,
Her breath changed the world
Once

Once
Upon a moment
I ventured to explain
Love
And failed

She smiled, Laughed softly...
Touched her lips to mine
Once

Then
Again
Again
Again

I understood.
Love
Isn't once
It's
always

It is more than once... it's always.
