minutes passing
in the darkness of night
waiting to see
the sun's morning light
knowing this feeling
I've been here before
bruised and beaten
I lay on the floor
wondering what happened
why did you stray
leaving my heart
to feel this decay
wanting it to be over
knowing it was wrong
I hear the whispers from inside
saying go on and be strong
having the dream
waking in a sweat
still knowing you didnt
get the best of me yet
you'll never be whole
not being able to feel
a love that is true
a love that is real
I have the strength
and the power too
the happiness in saying
