Aroused, heightened senses, aware....
sensing subtle scents...
testing the breeze, tasting the wind...
seeing the sounds of the night...
knowing the darkness as the light, sensing beyond sight, beyond darkness, into
light
the goal is there, senses aware, testing the breeze again, left, and the hunt
is on.
trees passed, leaves crushed underfoot and paw...
Foot and paw, foot, paw, paw, paw....
The night is now bright, daysight, transformation complete.
Senses sharp, claws and teeth, growling, drooling, flying through the weeds...
Salivation, knowing anticipation, tasting blood, flesh, fresh kill...
Animal in control, stop, drop and roll, tearing flesh as feed...
Bloody maw, glistening jaw, moonlight red
the beast now fed, pawprints, footprints, four, two, two...
wandering, naked, bloody, lost... in the dark of night.
Exhausted, filled with fright, unholy thought, unholy sight
terrorized mind, ghastly find, too much, now lost to ground, unconscious,
awaiting the morning dew, amnesia....
