I get dressed
Splashes of color
Ornament myself
This body
This life,
Contours and angles
Smells,
And what else?

Trees envelope
Their roots hugging the earth,
Leaves wispy
Fanning
Re-oxygenating

Foggy mist surrounds
I can feel it through my fishnets
Fall into winter
Gentle culmination
And a car buzzes by,
I guess I'll go inside.

Commune with nature at the city

I love urban and nature obsrevation poems. Who says you have to go to the "mountains" or the glorious but out of reach to most most of the time beach resorts to contemplate on nature. You literally delved into nature then so humanly had to move out. A poem about hot cider and nature through the window should follow...

A hard life, walking down the street in that weather. Maybe another time...

The last line works perfectly. Changes the mood of the poem. Mentioned on the new poems review thread on the literotica poetry forum.
