it’s all in your pint of view.
It’s the way you look at life,
the way you interpret life’s turns.
When facing a tragedy,
are you looking at it’s harm or it’s help?
Are you pointing the finger at the problem
or the solution?
Maybe it’s time to check one's self
and reevaluate the situation.
One might find out that while one is busy pointing the finger,
one could have been finding a solution.
Half empty-Half full.
When you wake up an hour early Monday morning,
do you consider it an hour less of sleep
or an early start on the day?
When an acorn falls an inch from your face,
are you angry it almost hit
you or glad it missed?
Half empty-Half full.
When you’ve traveled fifty
of your one hundred mile journey,
are you complaining that you’ve only made it half way
or rejoicing that you only have half way to go?
When you’re ten minutes late,
is your motto, I’m late might as well not go,
or do you believe in better late than never?
Half empty-Half full.
Half empty-half full,
the pessimistic or optimistic point of view.
It could decide success or failure in one's life.
When problems arrive, how we handle that problem
is directly affected by how we view that problem
Life has it’s ups and downs,
how long they last
is determined by whether one is rejoicing during the ups
or waiting for the downs.
So now you tell me,
that glass filled half way with water,
is it half empty or half full?
and enjoyed the words put forth. i know both *ists* and writing can take any pessimest and turn the corner into an optimist. nice job.......don
Fantastic idea for a poem,
although I have to admit
I am mostly a glass half
empty kinda person, but
i'm working on it! lol.
Great poem, loved it!
Thanks.
