I wandered through an orchard of love
Plump fruit ripe for the picking
Yet I chose not the bright cherries
Yet I chose not the juicy plum

I plucked instead two apples
And claimed them as my own
Lusting after their shiny gloss
Lusting after their firm curves

I held the apples to my mouth
As if in open invitation
Smooth skin under my lips
Smooth skin under my tongue

I brought myself to the brink of ecstasy
Teasing myself with their beauty
Then shut my eyes and imagined their gleam
Then shut my eyes and imagined their glow

I ran my tongue between the apples
Examining the crevice dividing them
Dare I penetrate this firm flesh
Dare I penetrate this forbidden fruit

I wandered through an orchard of love
Plump fruit ripe for the picking
Yet I left hungry and filled with desire
Yet I left hungry desiring you
