PACMAN is a "primitive" video game,
made before they learned
to make them uber-sophisticated
and so complex
that only "Gamers" can be bothered,
and so realistically gory
that by age twelve our kids
are ready to blow off heads overseas

No, PACMAN is a primitive game
one can learn in ten minutes,
and which won't inspire a murder
or require years of trauma counseling

It calls into play
not only many-colored ghouls,
but also schools
a dozen kinds of intelligence
spatial reasoning
intricate strategy
computer-chip "psychology"
and lightning reflexes

It was designed
by a modernite Zen monk
in a lotus-shaped skyscraper,
over a cup of green tea,
to show us how brilliant we can be
when we just think
!!REFLEXIVELY!!
