what great mother sees the day?

enchantress-lover?

psychopathic crone?

priestess-warrior?

which great mother?

princess who wants to be alone?

tigress hunting bloody meat?

gamine singing in the street?

which great mother?

the voluptuary amnesiac?

the dancer on the mountain top?

the prostitute in a business suit?

what moon phase shines in her heart?

what creatures sleep beneath her feet?

what does she know that she won’t tell?

what water rises in the well?

While on this topic , in ancient India Mother Kali

was always depicted as a Victorious , Nude , Amazonian Warrior Mother Goddess , but then Victorian England enslaved my Motherland & the f------n' British Raj put on a prudish Sari & Blouse on My poor Mother Kali !?! Somewhere Mother wept !

Great Pagan Mother Kali !

Tigress- Enchantress-Warrior- Dancer whose own Husband-Consort- Lord doth lie sleepin' below Her Universe-shakin' Lotus-Feet !?!

I liked this. It reminded me of the female archetype throughout history that has frightened men in patriarchal societies. Eve never met the devil. Men frightened of female sexual power made Eve meet the devil. The scary thing is such fear remains strong in many cultures today.

I might have added midwife to the list.
