Covering the quiet-
viscera splatter of dreams
not quite forgotten.
Land mines in moments
caught by surprise-
a song
a sentence spoken by unaware lips
picture found
thought to have been deleted.
Heat seeking missiles
searching, finding
You
in the corners of Me.
Destroying the calm,
exposing the truth-
My words, a lie
spoken with hopeful sincerity
that I would forget you.
