i am drunk on the promises
        promises spin my head

            bubbles in the water
            bubbles in champagne
            soap bubbles in the air

sliding askew the shine of a quiet lake
a leaf of a shadow has crossed a stone head
why am I asleep or am I forgetting
the summer days dance cut short by the blackness

        i wish to be drunk
        on bubbles raising in champagne
        loud mouths shut down
        each other's promised land

Ooo yea.

As bubbly as it is elegant and precise.
