Park Bench Paradox

bycavu182©

A physicist
and a poet
on a park bench
alone,
feeding pigeons
peanuts
each the other’s
clone,
watching words
and planets
metaphoric
cosmic dust,
each a hidden
secret
a never spoken
lust,
for the girl
at the counter
her manner
latte skill,
to each of them
a daughter
someone
who never will,
fulfill their
inner pleasure
dormant for
so long,
not that
such an action
would really be
that wrong.
