I can feel the moments slipping,
My only pain the time that's passed,
Breathless, panting, world is spinning,
Holding tighter to make it last,
And then the fall, the sweet sweet spiral,
And the sleep within your arms,
Knowing that you're safe from peril,
Trusting you to keep me free from harm.
Then at last the final hour,
Cursing fate and time and miles,
Feeling tears, a bitter shower,
Again facing life's separate trials,
A parting kiss, but not forever,
No regrets, just wistful smiles
