Dialog in passing clock time
Wound down to after hours
We want the end to never end
That split second momentum
Carrying on like a note held high
Waven and woven in the wind
Reflecting off overhead lights
I hold you in our befores
Storms say they are coming
Coming for sure
Our leather locked together
Bracing against rising winds
And the force of your lips
That split mine with their secrets
Your placid tongue shrouded
Softly veiled in her mystery
Waits patiently for my touch
To rouse her to dance
Lightly brightly with mine
How long ago was that
Yesterday last week last year
Could never last so long
Shattered pieces remembered
Left over seconds taken greedily
Knowing now would be someday
Yet I still know your lips
Still so sweet in this
These held moment of desire
Those moments of almost breathing
Like swimming beneath the surface
Just below the mirror
How long a song of how long
Or either of us undure it on and on
This cruel mana of stamina
Until we break tender surfaces
Only to take in any old air
Cold and empty with out each other.
