At this moment I flame with longing for you,
trembling as the heat of your soul sears me.
I can almost feel your breath upon my lips,
as you waken the sword of my loins.

No, I will not deny my desire,
nor hide its desperate sweetness from you;
you shall know all the dark fires of my soul
and I share this with you in the only way I know.

Your spirit invades my fingertips
to caress my most sensitive flesh;
for it is you who touches me,
only you, in this, and all ways.

Joyfully I celebrate your memory;
most holy and sacred you are to me;
paying homage to you in the shrine of my mind.
Can you forgive my taking comfort in this way?

Oh! I am so sick with desire for you!
Do you, too, do things in my memory?
Incredibly inflamed by the fierce thought,
I silently cry your name

and the little death overtakes me.
