PASSIONATE PLEAS

Without leaves on trees,
It’s no fun to follow
That snowplow
Down the road
When that groundhog
Saw its ugly shadow
At a time
It’d be so nice
To see a robin
Where the sun
Creates that sparkling effect
By an early morning dew
Through the kitchen window
And causes a little excitement
To walk out to the road
And get the newspaper
While sniffing the air
And reminisce to the sound
Of a bat on a baseball
In light of the fact
That it’d be nice
To have the kids outside
As it simultaneously kicks in
That little romantic moment
Of holding hands
With that significant other
In the park
Where the flowers
Are in full bloom
As the lilacs give off their scent
In a nice soft breeze
Where spring makes an impact
And the snowplows
Aren’t on the roads.
