A sliver of time
Shaved from the day
When my body pressed
Against yours.

Minutes passed too quickly
Time slipping from our fingers
Like butter over hot asparagus
Disappearing and lingering,
No longer visible
Perceived only by taste.

Your arms wrapped around
My small body
As I melted into you,
My face buried in your broad chest
With limbs holding you closer.

My eyes tumbled into yours,
Sucked in by the depths you try to hide
As we talk and laugh,
Our minds moving together
In ways we wished our bodies could.

Your lips never touched mine,
But hands, fingers, toes and thighs,
Our secret caresses sustaining me,
Feeding my hunger for you.
